Current Residents

Currently, there are six dogs and two cats in residence here with us (all seniors, though Skeeter and Howdy were adopted as young adults several years ago).

Two of the dogs are our own personal dogs: Skeeter, my husband's senior Chihuahua and Penny, our mini-long senior dachshund who I knew was a foster failure the first second I laid eyes on her.

There are four senior foster dogs living with us right now, too. Dixie, a senior tweenie dachshund who came to us December 17, 2012 (an All Texas Dachshund Rescue senior) and Hannah, a miniature longhair dachshund who I think is related to Penny. Hannah is about 9, and adoptable through All Texas Dachshund Rescue. We also have Lucy Lou, our permanent end of life foster dog that we are fostering through Bark N Rest Retirement Center (www.barknrestretirementcenter.com/ ). And our newcomer, Pickles, a young senior Chihuahua girl who is fostered through Bark N Rest, and will most likely be adoptable. As of this writing, she's not due in here until tomorrow (2/4/15), so I'm really limited on information.

And the two cats. Yeah, I know. They're not dogs, but what can I say? I'm one allergic husband away from being a crazy cat lady to go along with my dog obsession.
